 I began by making a few tutorials on texturing until I could place UV maps correctly on the fuselage without warping things out.

 Also, the colors were washed out because I made a mistake with the white values. Fixed.

 Now that the mapping is done, I can start with a wireframe map to check if the textures are lining with the mesh.

 Then I decided to color code it and go, piece by piece, finding which was was up.
